KAREN'S TREATS

Karen has many years experience as a Chef and Baker and wants to share some of her recipes with you that you might enjoy making. Some are easier than others. Enjoy!

Scones

You will need self raising flour, margarine or soft butter, eggs sugar and milk.

Banana Bread Ingredients

Banana bread ingredients
10 Oz plain flour, 1:5tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt, 4 Oz soft butter, 8 Oz castor sugar, 2 eggs, 4 RIPE bananas, 3 floz buttermilk ( or add 1.5tsp vinegar to milk) vanilla essence, pecans ( optional). You will also need ready a greased lined 2lb loaf tin and oven preheated to 180!

500ml carton of double or whipping cream, double if you don't worry about the calories. 1 tin of condensed milk, and whatever flavour you want, for example, Cadburys caramel bar, Mint aero (mint essence/green colouring),  Crunchie bar,  Malteesers.
I'm using Raspberry Ruffles (pink food colouring). Or plain vanilla even is great ( use good quality essence) .You also need your electric beaters ready and a container with lid that you can use in the freezer. A 2litre Ice-cream tub is perfect.
